Megan successfully argued an appeal at the Colorado Supreme Court in the Rudnicki v. Bianco case, during its second appeal, that injured patients of medical malpractice can receive prefiling, prejudgment interest when a judge finds good cause to exceed the oppressive $1 million overall cap that applies to medical malpractice claims. The Supreme Court unanimously found in the plaintiff’s favor.

Experience

At a prior firm, Megan represented over 250 plaintiffs in complex corporate negligence case involving a local hospital relating to improperly sterilized surgical instruments. The case was defended by 53 defense attorneys from 5 firms, requiring a “David versus Goliath” approach to succeed. The team’s litigation strategy case resulted in resolving the case with a record-breaking settlement.

Experience

Megan obtained a multi-million settlement for a client who suffered severe sepsis due to a hospital ignoring a patient with a perforated bowel.

As of 2025, Megan has obtained over $100 million in settlements as a lead attorney on cases for clients injured from medical malpractice, motor vehicle collisions, premise liability cases, and corporate negligence in the healthcare setting.

At a prior firm, Megan was a lead attorney on a Colorado class action case against Porter Adventist Hospital involving 3,000 injured patients that resulted in a $6.5 million settlement.
