Alexandra “Alex” Feathers is an accomplished associate attorney whose practice areas include business torts, complex commercial litigation, contract disputes, employment litigation, insurance disputes, and plaintiff-side legal malpractice.
Alex is a meticulous legal writer and compelling courtroom advocate who brings a pragmatic, composed approach to resolving disputes for her clients. She has secured favorable rulings on dispositive motions through clear and persuasive briefing, argued before the U.S. District Court and the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the District of Colorado, and tried five cases to verdict. Her notable trial victories include a jury trial in the District Court for Denver County where her clients prevailed on all claims and recovered treble damages.
Alex earned her J.D. and Certificate in Corporate & Commercial Law from the University of Denver. During law school, she authored an academic article published in the University of Washington’s Journal of Social & Environmental Justice. She also held executive positions in several organizations, including the Venture Law Society, the Race to the Bottom, and the Pioneer Venture Group, a venture capital fund where she led a team of interdisciplinary students and worked closely with C-suite executives, startup accelerators, and investors. In recognition of her leadership and academic achievement, she received a Student Leadership Award and a Scholastic Excellence Award in Asset Management Regulation.
Alex earned her B.S. in Marketing from the University of Alabama on a competitive Presidential Scholarship. Outside the classroom, she raised funds for cardiovascular research through Alpha Phi, played women’s lacrosse, and watched the Crismon Tide win two NCAA National Championships.
Alex grew up in a military family and lived both stateside and overseas before her family settled in the St. Louis area. Although she now calls Denver home, Alex still loves her rare trips back to the Gateway to the West.
